How to get under a Nissan hood

In this video I show you how to open your hood in a new 2018 Nissan Rogue SV.

- Make sure the engine is off and cool
- Pull the lever on the bottom left while in your drivers seat
- The trunk will open slightly and allow you to find the small lever close to the lip of the hood
- Hold it left while you lift with your other hand
- While keeping open the hood, locate the stick to prop it up, on this vehicle it was on the hood area
- Take off the stick and angle it into the hole with an arrow pointing toward it
- Once propped up, you can work under the hood
- Then hold the hood up and put the stick back to its original position
- To close the hood, keep it closer to the vehicle rather higher up
- Not forcefully, but let gravity have it fall and lock
- If it is still not closed, try again but give it some assistance and flick down with it
- (Watch your fingers!)
- Your hood should now be closed and it is safe to drive
